Our founders (Rohit and Logan) have experience at Bain, C3 AI, Nourish (YC W21 founding engineer), hedge funds and more. We also have a team of contractors that write and maintain pieces of our stack that are not currently automated.

1+ years SWE/MLE experience
Willingness to work in a fast paced startup environment - meaning comfort with ambiguity, bias towards action and a constant focus on efficiency.
Responsibilities:
You will work alongside our CTO (Logan) and own large pieces of our core infrastructure for extracting, analyzing and visualizing data from the web. You will:
Develop autonomous agents for solving different information extraction problems
Develop heuristics/LLM/ML based tools for extracting and structuring data across different web formats.
Develop automated (AutoSQL) tools for performing analytics on extracted data based on domain context and natural language prompts.
Develop iterable automated visualization layers on top of the analytics layer; i.e. time series visualizations based on natural language input
Anything else we need! We’re a small team so anything from website updates, writing infrastructure as code etc. will be on the table!

Compensation
We’re building an all-star team and so want to be generous on compensation. Our philosophy is that base compensation is for living expenses and equity is for upside. We want you to be able to give your all to what we’re building and benefit proportionately from your contributions, without worrying about living expenses. 
So our compensation structure is a base salary competitive with other seed stage startups and generous equity relative to other startups. We know that part of the excitement of joining a startup is the upside and to feel like an owner - that’s why we left our corporate jobs.
Funding
We're cash flow positive, have never churned a customer, and are hiring to meet increased demand. We aren't beholden to any VCs, so we have more equity to give than if we'd already been diluted and can control the company direction. Worst case, we can always raise money if needed because we have a working model and are cash flow positive (we’ve already received investment offers). Rohit and Logan have also previously founded another company together and are even more excited about this one.

We’re looking for a founding full-stack engineer to help us accelerate the pace of scientific discovery.

Our stack is primarily React, Next.js and Javascript/Typescript. And we’re updating parts of the back-end to Python. You should have familiarity with building + improving a high-quality well-designed web app in production.

In this role, you’ll:

Improve Unriddle by shipping product features, fixing bugs and removing technical debt.
Move fast but polish things -- we deeply care about good design but we don’t let this slow us down.
Develop strong opinions, be able to communicate them and turn them into features.
Build internal tools to automate non-product work. We do this a lot.
As a founding member of the team, you'll make a significant impact as we rapidly scale revenue from $1M to $10M and then $10M to $100M+.

You’re likely a good fit if you:

Have independently built and scaled a product to at least a few thousand users (e.g. a side project or open-source project).
Have worked in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (ideally another startup) and can drive things forward with relatively little oversight.
Bonuses:

Familiarity with AI and ML concepts, especially in the context of natural language processing and generative AI models.
You’ve previously built a consumer product, or worked at a top consumer company before.
