Getting started - trial period

The Paraform Marketplace

Paraform is a marketplace connecting venture backed tech startups that are hiring with recruiters to fill those roles.

Companies use us as their primary source of external recruiting support and part of the value prop is helping them procure the best recruiters to fill their open roles. This inherently means we act as a trust layer between a company's hiring needs and the recruiters to find candidates to fill those roles.

Our product is a closed marketplace, meaning it takes approvals from either our end or the hiring manager's end to start recruiting for a role.

How Approvals Work

On your Paraform home page you will see that all roles require an application to recruit. Approvals to your applications happen in two ways:

1. Approved through Paraform

2. Approved by the Hiring Manager

New recruiters

Approvals are done by Hiring Managers once you have sufficient track record on the platform. Hence for new recruiters, your initial applications to recruit are reviewed by Paraform, often after an onboarding call with one of our team.

How the Trial Period works

The trial period is the first opportunity for you to demonstrate to companies exceptional sourcing ability, amass a track record on the platform and start getting your first interviews.

Here's how it works

  • Added to your first batch of 3 roles. After your onboarding call, you will be matched with the 3 most suitable roles based on your background, candidate pool and excitement to source.
  • Submit a max of 6 candidates. For each role you can submit a maximum of 2 candidates which means a total of 6 candidates across 3 roles
  • Assessment of first batch. After hiring managers review and provide feedback, we'll assess the first 6 candidates. This is a mix of the quantitative ratings on the candidates, interview rate and other qualitative factors which could include assessment on the difficulty of the role, the candidate profiles being submitted.
  • Added to second batch of 3 roles. If the assessment of the first batch of submissions is positive, we'll add you to the next batch of 3 roles to ramp you up even further. If all goes well this ramp is pretty exponential and eventually as a preferred recruiter, you'll receive default invites to new roles onboarding on Paraform.

Assessment of Candidates

In line with the track record needed to achieve preferred recruiter status, we look at 3 main things in the trial period

  • Number of 3/4 & 4/4 rated candidates which are candidates that are a 'Yes (3)' or 'Strong Yes (4)' in terms of fit
  • Number of interviews you receive out of the 6 submissions
  • Hiring manager feedback which are the qualitative comments, notes, score card ratings on your candidate.
  • Other factors such as your time to submission, messages to hiring managers and other relevant information (less weighting on this)

Ultimately you want to make a hire on Paraform, we want you to make a hire on Paraform and companies want to make hires on Paraform - these numbers are reverse engineered from our data on candidates that have successfully been hired by companies ie. a minimum 3/4 rating with a 60% interview rate.
