Q: What is a Lead Recruiter?
A Lead Recruiter is one of a select group of recruiters who get direct HM access on their roles. For these roles, there will be a limited number of recruiter slots (i.e. 3), which you'll be able to see. Only the Lead Recruiter has the HM relationship - calibration meetings, direct Slack access. The other recruiters can source and submit, but don't have the off-platform relationship.
Q: How many roles can I work on as a Lead Recruiter?
You can focus on up to 5 roles total.
Q: Why am I capped at 5 roles?
Being a Lead Recruiter means you're THE point person for the HM - managing the relationship, providing strategic input, and driving results. That level of partnership requires real focus and attention. Our data shows that recruiters who go deep on fewer roles make more placements than those who spread thin. Five roles is the sweet spot for maintaining quality while still having variety. As you prove success, you can request additional slots.
Q: Why was I selected?
We chose you because you know how to drive results and have strong client-facing skills. Not every recruiter will have access to this program - it's reserved for recruiters we trust to build the HM partnerships that lead to great hires.
Q: What are the performance expectations for Lead Recruiters?
As a Lead Recruiter, we expect you to maintain these standards for each of your roles:
If you aren't meeting these metrics, we'll check-in. We understand sometimes there are scenarios that may prevent this from being the case even when you're doing your best. If it is performance related, we'll work with you to course-correct. In rare cases where a Lead Recruiter consistently isn't performing, we may remove you from a role.
Q: Can I be removed from the program?
You can be removed from individual roles if you're not performing (with warning). Depending on the situation we will determine if it was a role-specific problem or if the Lead Recruiter program is not the right fit.
Q: Can I earn more than 5 slots?
Yes! As you prove success as a Lead Recruiter, meeting volume and speed requirements, you can request additional slots. We may even ask you first!
Q: How does the role selection process work?
We'll reach out to you with Lead role opportunities that match your background and interests. You can accept or decline each opportunity. Once you accept your first Lead role, you'll choose 4 more roles to complete your 5 total slots. We'll continue bringing you new Lead role opportunities as they become available.
Q: Do I have to accept the first roles you send me?
No! You can decline any role that isn't the right fit, just let us know why. We'll keep sending you opportunities until you find roles that work for you.
Q: What if I only want to work on 3 roles right now, not 5?
That's fine. You can start with fewer than 5 and add more roles as you're ready. The 5-slot limit is a maximum, not a requirement.
Q: Can I swap roles if one isn't working out?
Yes! You can swap up to 3 roles per week, we just ask that you have a good reason. If a role isn't the right fit, you're not locked in.
Q: What if a role I want is full?
If the Lead Recruiter role is taken but a recruiter slot is open, you can either (1) work the role as one of the few recruiters, or (2) join the waitlist to be the Lead if it opens up.
If all recruiter slots are full, you can join the waitlist and we'll notify you when any slot opens up - Lead Recruiter or otherwise.
Either way, we're constantly bringing you new Lead role opportunities, so there will always be more options.
Q: What happens to the roles I'm currently working on?
You can work up to 5 roles total. If you're currently working more than 5 roles, you'll need to get down to 5. You can keep any of your current roles (up to 5) and/or add Lead roles to reach 5 total.
When you leave a role:
Q: What if I have candidates in process on my current roles?
You keep those candidates and continue managing them through the process. You just can't do new active sourcing for those roles. Your existing work continues.
Q: Do I have to leave ALL my current roles immediately?
No. You need to work 5 roles total or fewer. If you're currently working 5 or fewer, you can keep them. If you're working more than 5, you'll need to get down to 5 total. You keep all your candidates and can still earn from them.
Q: What happens to candidates I've already sourced but haven't submitted if I exceed the 5-role limit?
We offer a one-week grace period for any roles you're transitioning off of. If you've already built a pipeline but haven't yet submitted the candidates, you'll have one week to complete those submissions. After the one-week grace period ends, you can only cross-submit candidates you've already submitted on Paraform - you won't be able to actively source or submit new candidates to those roles.
Q: When do I need to make this transition?
Once you accept your first Lead role, you need to be working a total of 5 roles or fewer. The timing is flexible - we're ready when you are.
Q: Can I still cross-submit to roles I'm not a Lead on?
Yes! You can cross-submit any candidate you've previously submitted on Paraform to other roles where they're a fit.
Q: What's the difference between "working on" a role vs "cross-submitting" to it?
Q: Is there a limit on how many cross-submissions I can make?
No limit! Cross-submit as many candidates as you want to as many roles as they fit. Be sure to read role requirements and make sure your candidate is interested. If we notice a pattern of poor-fit cross-submissions we may limit cross-submission access.
Q: If I cross-submit to a role, does that count as one of my 5 slots?
No. Cross-submissions don't count against your 5 slots.
Q: What if my HM isn't responsive?
If your HM isn't being responsive, let us know immediately. We'll work with the HM to improve, and if it doesn't get better, you can swap to a different role.
Q: Do I get direct phone calls with HMs?
The Paraform team will facilitate calibration meetings between you and the HM. For day-to-day communication, you'll have direct Slack access. We stay involved to ensure quality and consistency.
Q: Will the HM know I'm the Lead Recruiter?
Yes! The HM will see that you're the Lead Recruiter on the role along with your rating. You're their point person.
Q: What about the other 2 recruiters on my roles - will they know I'm the Lead?
No. They may know there is a Lead Recruiter but they will not know who it is.
Q: What if my role unexpectedly pauses or closes?
If a role pauses or closes unexpectedly (not because the role has been filled) and you, the Lead Recruiter, have at least two candidates in the pipeline, you will receive Paracover.
Q: Will I really make more money with only 5 roles?
Yes. Our beta test showed 2-3x faster time to hire with the Lead Recruiter model. More placements in less time = more money. You're trading volume for conversion rate - and conversion rate wins when you have direct HM access and less competition. Add cross-submissions as a cherry on top and you should be rolling in the dough.
